Alp Active – Les Gets summer holidays – Booking Information
What's included in Alp Active prices: Our self-catering apartment prices are per accommodation unit for seven nights. Bed linen and towels are provided. We do not have a representative in resort, however, you will be provided with a local emergency contact number. Activity Sports and Mountain Biking Sports and Activities featured on this website can all be booked in resort using the information provided in your Holiday Information pack. All Activity Sports are provided by third parties, who are approved and licensed by the French Authorities. Although we vet all suppliers, we have no direct control over their operations. Mountain biking can be dangerous and we provide a clear set of guidelines to reduce the risk of injury. These will be included in the Information Pack sent prior to your holiday. We would ask all clients to study them carefully. If you are a keen mountain biker or want to spend more than a day biking on your holiday, we strongly advise you to bring your own bike with you. Flying with your bike is easy and we can give you detailed instructions on how to pack it. Bikes can be hired in resort, however, specifications vary and rental costs can quickly mount up. Self-catering cleaning and damages Prior to departure we ask you to complete a Self-catering Form with credit card details. Your card will be debited in the event of any breakages or damage to the accommodation. You will be notified before any deductions are made and sent an itemised bill. Climate The weather in the Alps between June and September is generally very good with typical temperatures of between 23-26C and a great deal of sunshine. However, even in July and August there can be bouts of rain and temperatures can quickly drop. We would therefore advise clients to bring appropriate waterproofs and some warm clothing. Passports, visas and healthcare British citizens must have a valid full passport. Visas are not needed by EU citizens, but other nationalities should check at the relevant embassy or consulate. If you are a UK resident, you are entitled to medical treatment that becomes necessary, at reduced cost or sometimes free, when temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country. Only treatment provided under the state scheme is covered. However, to obtain treatment you will need to take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you. Applying For A Card: You can apply for an EHIC, free of charge, by visiting www.ehic.org.uk. Alternatively, you can apply by calling 0845 606 2030 or by picking up an application form from the Post Office. Smoking We operate a no smoking policy in all of our properties. Financial security Mountain High Properties Ltd, trading as Alp Active complies in full with the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. One of the main aims is to ensure client funds are safe in the event of a holiday company having financial difficulties. Payments for Alp Active holidays are protected by a bond, or Trust Account, administered by a Chartered Accountant, who is sole signatory on the account. If your payment includes sums for other purposes - for instance holiday insurance - these are released to pay for these services. The remainder of the money stays in the Trust Account until the holiday is completed. Only then is it transferred to us. A copy of the Trust Deed is available on request.
